Congress wants Modi biopic banned during Lok Sabha election phase

File Photo: PM Modi PANAJI: The National Students' Union of India - Goa, the Congress party's student wing, has written to the Election Commission of India objecting to the proposed release of a biopic on prime minister Narendra Modi on the grounds that the movie was "propaganda by the BJP to influence" voters during the Lok Sabha elections. State NSUI president Ahraz Mulla has urged ECI to ban the movie in the theatres of states 48 hours prior to voting which is known as election silence where a party is not allowed to promote or campaign.
