Veteran Samajwadi politico Amar Singh passes away in Singapore

File photo of SP leader Amar Singh Mumbai: Samajwadi party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh passed away on Saturday at a hospital in Singapore at the age of 64. The veteran had been suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time now and was undergoing treatment in Singapore since the last few months. He is survived by his wife Pankaja and twin daughters Disha and Drishti. A couple of hours prior to his demise, Singh had paid tribute to freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak in a tweet.
